Abstract
School administrators play a pivotal role in making informed decisions that align with the school's mission and objectives. Their leadership and management strategies, supported by data and inclusive decision-making, significantly impact the school's success. This study aimed to explore the experiences in managerial skills and leadership styles of school administrators in leadership and management. Utilizing a qualitative research method with thematic research approach. The qualitative phase included in-depth interviews with five school administrators selected based on the study's purpose. The qualitative data was analyzed through Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis. The study identified four major themes and six sub-themes from the lived experiences of administrators: (1) effective management and leadership, (2) lacks resources, (3) utilize community support and (4) reframe management and leadership in school. The sub-themes included clear communication, leading by example, financial constraints, lack of teachers and overlapping roles, strengthen communication and collaboration and provide professional development. The findings suggest that effective leadership and clear communication foster a supportive work environment, ultimately enhancing teacher satisfaction and school performance. These insights offer valuable recommendations for improving educational leadership and teacher development in schools.
