Abstract
This research focuses on reducing flood damage in the Malaysian construction industry. It identifies the main causes of flooding at construction sites as poor drainage systems, natural factors, and human development. The key impacts include material and equipment damage, debris flow, and project delays. Based on responses from 137 industry professionals, effective mitigation methods include raising land for storage, creating drainage basins, and installing sump pumps. The study aims to support continuous construction progress by proposing practical flood management strategies.
