Stakeholder Participation in Brigada Eskwela: Toward a Sustainable School–Community Partnership Plan in Sorsogon City

The study investigated stakeholders’ participation in the Brigada Eskwela initiative, examining execution across planning, resource mobilization, physical implementation, and monitoring. It further explored the distinct forms of support provided, impacts on institutional readiness, operational challenges, and pathways toward long-term sustainability. Findings revealed that effective community engagement relies heavily on decentralized, bottom-up consultation and micro-donation strategies rather than top-down mandates. This study adopted a qualitative phenomenological design to capture the lived experiences of stakeholders participating in Brigada Eskwela in Sorsogon City. By employing this design, the researcher was able to explore how school heads, teachers, parents, students, and community partners perceive their involvement, the challenges they encounter, and the sustainability of their participation.
